Alan Carey has been a Financial Advisor with Prime Financial since 1996.  He continues his practice, bringing over 29 years of experience as well as a wealth of information and educational skills to the clients he serves.  He is detailed and conscientious in his pursuit of assisting clients in reaching their financial goals.

 

Alan is an Investment Advisor Representative with Investors Capital Advisory Services.  He is a Certified Financial Planner Practioner (CFP®) which includes education in the following areas:  the financial planning process, tax planning, estate planning, employee benefits, retirement planning, investment management and insurance. He also holds a Charter Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) designation.

 

Alan’s educational background includes a BS degree in Business Administration from Thomas College and a BS degree in Secondary Education from the University of Maine at Farmington.

 

He has taught adult education classes and seminars pertaining to various aspects of retirement, investment and insurance planning.  Alan has participated as a member of a panel presentation and public forum on senior planning.

 

Alan has a strong interest in working with small business owners, having grown up in that environment.  He has strong skills relating to various areas for small business and its employees’ needs.  As an ex-teacher and spouse of a teacher, he understands the emotional, financial, and retirement needs of people in the field of education.

 

He has worked as a basketball and soccer coach with youth sports and volunteered in various community programs for young people.  He is an active member of the Vineyard Church in Lewiston and is also a strong supporter of various charities.

 

Alan’s desire is to continue in his financial planning practice developing new ways of educating his clients, their families, and heirs in the financial planning process.  His goal is to continue periodic reviews of client accounts and to assist clients as they pass through the various phases of their life.  He remains flexible in helping clients meet their life goals and likes to use a team approach with the clients he serves.
